The Story: Honoring the Palestinian women & their traditional Wear. The embroidered “Tatreez” Dresses “Thobes” and headwear preserve the memory and connection to the land through hand-stitched embroidery called Tatreez that encodes specific village identities and histories. When families were displaced during the 1948 Nakba, women carried their traditional dresses with them as proof of their roots and belonging.
